My Profile

I have worked in the drug and alcohol field since 1991 as:

  • Young people's worker and manager in Greenwich.
  • Young people's drug & alcohol service manager, Barnsley (The BARN).
  • Advice & Counselling worker at the Angel Drug Project.
  • DAT Joint Commissioning Manager (Barnsley).

I currently work independently (Since 2004) and as an associate consultant, as well as seeing clients at a PCT Dept. of Psychology.


I have an M.A from Birmingham University in Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and have over 2200 hours experience as a therapist.


I also have BA (Hons) in German, History and Religious Studies (Middlesex), and a Certificate in Substance Misuse: Education and Training (Roehampton).


Paul is a member of the United Kingdom Association for Solution Focused Practice and is on the national committee.
